To Replace Missing Teeth With Dentures
Life is supposed to be fun and filled with good food, conversation, and most importantly, smiles. Missing teeth can stop you from enjoying these important aspects of life.
Drs. Clifford Degel and Carmen Every-Degel, our experienced husband-and-wife dental team, offer many kinds of top-quality dentures to suit your specific oral health needs, budget, and cosmetic goals. These include state-of-the-art traditional removable dentures as well as dentures securely attached to dental implants.
Want to enjoy life thanks to a smile restored with dentures? Request a dentures consultation at our patient-friendly Astoria office in Queens, NY, by using our online form or by calling us. Our family has been making families throughout Astoria and Queens, NY, smile since 1991.
Our amazingly lifelike dentures are designed using in-house digital technology. Our on-site lab technician will personally meet with you to ensure your digital dentures will fit comfortably and match your existing teeth beautifully.
Digital dentures are seven times stronger than conventional dentures and are available in traditional removable or implant-supported varieties. They are milled from a solid piece of premium dental-grade material that resists cracking and breaking.
While traditional dentures can take weeks to be crafted, fitted, and placed, high-tech digital dentures can be created and placed in just two visits to our Astoria practice.
Digital dentures feature a strong acrylic base that matches the shade of your gums. The denture is bacteria-resistant, which can cut down on bad breath issues. It is also shrink-resistant to ensure a better fit for years. Meanwhile, these restorations are highly regarded for their ability to look and function just like natural teeth.
Your precise digital treatment plan is kept on file at our office, so it is easy to replace your dentures should they become lost or damaged.

If you still have some healthy remaining teeth, a partial denture may be a great choice for you. Your dentist can decide if a partial denture is right for you by conducting a thorough exam.
Full dentures replace a complete upper or lower dental arch. If you are missing all of your teeth, or if your remaining teeth need to be extracted, you may be a candidate for full dentures.
These can be placed immediately after remaining teeth are extracted and may need adjusting after your gums heal. If you meet the candidacy requirements, we can help you take advantage of this option.
These are used to replace your upper teeth only.
These dentures use one or more of your remaining teeth for support. This provides greater stability when chewing.
Versus Traditional Dentures
Traditional dentures rest on the gums, held in place through a combination of suction and a mild adhesive. Implant-supported dentures are attached directly to the jawbone using prosthetic tooth roots for exceptional stability.
For the right candidates, mini implants are a highly beneficial tooth replacement option. They can be used when there is limited jawbone tissue in which to place an implant. In this clip, Dr. Clifford Degel, a member of the American College of Oral Implantology, talks about the many benefits of mini implants and how the implant surgery and placement of your dentures can be done in one visit.
When Receiving Digital Dentures
Today’s full and partial dentures are natural-looking, more comfortable than ever, and can last for decades with proper care. Plus, digital dentures make it possible to restore your bite in just two office visits.
We will take a precise digital impression of your teeth and gums. If you have dental implants, we will also take impressions of them. These impressions will be sent to our on-site dental lab where your dentures will be carefully crafted using digital technology.
Your dentist will work with you to fine-tune the shape, color, and fit of your dentures. When this process is complete, you can expect a bite that is comfortable, functional, and looks great.
Should your traditional dentures crack or break, our practice offers top-quality repair services. Issues like small chips or cracks can be repaired during your appointment, but for more serious problems, like severe breaks, recreating your dentures in our lab may be recommended.
Over time, your traditional dentures may not fit as well as they used to due to changes in your jaws caused by missing teeth. A reline involves our dentists reshaping the base of your dentures to help them fit better.
