About Dr. Carmen Every-Degel

Growing up in Aruba, Dr. Every-Degel experienced the emotional toll of losing a tooth at a young age and living with crooked teeth. Feeling self-conscious, she often covered her smile—until cosmetic dentistry changed her life. Her own transformative dental experience inspired her to pursue dentistry and help others gain the same renewed confidence.

At age 19, she moved to the U.S. to pursue her education. After earning her undergraduate degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, she attended Georgetown University Dental School in Washington, D.C., where she met her future husband and practice partner, Dr. Clifford Degel.

Together, they took over Astoria Dental Group in 1990 and have built a reputation for excellence in cosmetic and restorative care. Outside of work, the Degels enjoy traveling with their three daughters—especially to Aruba—as well as playing tennis, golfing, and scuba diving.
