At Astoria Dental Group, Dr. Clifford Degel and Dr. Carmen Every-Degel are proud to bring the latest cosmetic dentistry technology to our patients. Over the years, we’ve seen tremendous advancements in dental technology—resulting in more comfortable, precise, and effective care for our patients from Manhattan and the greater New York City area.

We use state-of-the-art tools such as computer smile imaging, intraoral cameras, the Trios digital scanner, SimPlant™ one-day dental implants, DIAGNOdent® for advanced cavity detection, and an in-house laboratory to provide faster and more efficient care.

Computer Smile Imaging: Using SmilePix technology, we can digitally enhance your photo to show a preview of your smile after cosmetic treatment—such as porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, crowns, Invisalign®, or full restorative procedures—so you can visualize your results before any work begins.

Intraoral Camera: A small, pen-sized camera captures real-time digital images of your teeth and gums, displayed on a screen above your chair. This allows you and your dentist to view problem areas together and better understand your treatment plan, making for a more informed and comfortable experience.

Trios Digital Scanner: This handheld scanner creates highly accurate 3D digital impressions of your teeth and gums—eliminating the need for uncomfortable putty molds. These digital models are used to precisely design crowns, bridges, and orthodontic appliances.

DIAGNOdent® Advanced Cavity Detection: This laser diagnostic tool allows our dentists to detect tooth decay in its earliest stages—often before it’s visible on X-rays. In some cases, early detection means decay can be reversed with fluoride treatments, avoiding the need for fillings.

In-House Laboratory: Our on-site dental lab allows us to fabricate and repair dental appliances more quickly and efficiently, ensuring timely service and excellent quality control.

SimPlant™ One-Day Dental Implants: We are one of the few practices offering one-day dental implants using the SimPlant™ system. This digital approach allows patients to receive a long-lasting implant in a single visit—saving time while maintaining excellent results.

CT Scans for Dental Implants: When evaluating candidates for dental implants, we use advanced CT scanning technology to analyze gum and bone structure with precision. This helps determine whether a patient has sufficient bone density to support an implant.
