Computer Smile Imaging
Get a sneak preview of your new smile before any treatment begins! With computer imaging technology from SmilePix, our dentists can digitally enhance your photo to show you the results you may achieve following cosmetic dentistry treatments.
Computer smile imaging can show the dazzling effects that porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, porcelain crowns, Invisalign® invisible braces, restorative dentistry, and other procedures can have on your smile. No matter which cosmetic or restorative dentistry treatments you are considering, SmilePix can help you visualize the new you.
Mounted on the end of a pen-shaped instrument, the tiny intraoral camera can be used to provide detailed imaging of the teeth and gums. Digital images are captured instantly and sent to a TV screen mounted above each treatment chair, where patient and dentist can view them together.
Intraoral cameras deliver high-quality images that can help patients learn about problem areas and better understand their treatment, which increases their comfort before and during a procedure. Intraoral cameras are quickly becoming the gold standard in cosmetic dentistry offices and are integral to the treatments we offer to our patients from Manhattan and throughout the New York City area.
Tomography Digital X-Rays
Just like digital photos, digital X-rays produce large, high-quality images that can be magnified, emailed, or archived. Digital X-rays expose patients to less radiation than traditional X-rays, and they capture images that patients can view on a computer screen with their dentist.
DIAGNOdent® — Advanced Cavity Detection
Our DIAGNOdent® diagnostic laser allows our dentists to detect early decay that is hidden in tooth crevices, long before conventional methods would normally find it. The DIAGNOdent® laser reveals cavities at such an early stage, in fact, that in some cases, fluoride treatments alone can reverse the decay and rebuild your healthy tooth structure!
Our cosmetic dentistry practice features its own on-site laboratory so that any repairs or fabrication can be done on the premises. This allows for quicker and more efficient service for our patients.
SimPlant™ One-Day Dental Implants
Our dental practice is one of the few to offer one-day dental implants using the SimPlant™ system. This digitized process allows patients to go home with a long-lasting dental implant after just one visit to our cosmetic dentistry office. Read more about SimPlant™ dental implants.
Tomographic Imaging and Dental Implants
When determining whether a patient is a good candidate for dental implants, our dentists also use a high-tech instrument called a tomograph to provide superior analysis of patients' gums and bone structure. The tomograph produces an image similar to that of a CT scan, but the patient does not have to endure the claustrophobic experience of undergoing a CT scan. This process is important in helping our dentists determine whether a patient has sufficient bone thickness to support a dental implant.
