The Cost of Invisalign® Treatment
In general, the cost of Invisalign® treatment is comparable to the cost of treatment with conventional metal braces. Depending on the individual, there may be factors that would cause one treatment to be somewhat more expensive than the other; however, if treatment with traditional metal braces were to run about $5,000, the cost of Invisalign® treatment would likely be in the same ballpark, give or take $500.
As for what the exact cost of treatment would be in your unique case, it would depend on such factors as:
- The nature and severity of your orthodontic issue, which will determine how many aligners must be created in order to produce the desired result.
- Whether any restorative work, including periodontal treatment or tooth extraction, must be performed prior to the commencement of your Invisalign® therapy.
- Whether Invisalign® is being performed on its own or in conjunction with other cosmetic or orthodontic treatments in order to achieve the desired results.
Of course, your out-of-pocket expenses will also depend on whether your dental insurance policy covers Invisalign® treatment to any extent.
